PLEASE DON'T COPY!

Die Kindergartenschülerin habe ich fast ausschliesslich mit Tria Markern gemalt. Den Kontrast zwischen Schatten und Licht habe ich verstärkt, indem ich mit Buntstift einer dunkleren Farbe die Konturen nachgezeichnet habe und zur Schattenseite hin auslaufen liess, während sich zur hellen Seite hin eine scharfe Kante abzeichnet.
Ich bin froh, dass mir das Mädchen so süss gelungen ist (ich zeichne nicht sehr oft Kinder). Es sollte ein einfaches, fröhliches und unbeschwertes Bild werden.^__^

"50 MANGA BABES to draw and paint" ist ein englisch-sprachiges Zeichenbuch, welches fünfzig Artworks der unterschiedlichsten Frauen im Manga-Stil zeigt, zusammen mit Schritt-für-Schritt Bildern, detaillierten Beschreibungen zum Entstehungsprozess und Zeichen-Tipps.

Ich hatte die tolle Aufgabe, fünfzehn dieser "Babes" zeichnen zu dürfen (siehe rechte Spalte). Ich hatte folgende Vorgaben: gezeichnet im Manga-Stil, weibliche Figur, einem Thema/Charaktertyp zugeordnet, Ganzkörper-Ansicht, kein Hintergrund.

Das Buch ist toll geworden und für diejenigen, die etwas Englisch können, sehr zu empfehlen. Das Buch ist bei Amazon erhältlich.

For coloring the kindergarten girl, I used mainly Tria markers. To intense the transition's contrast of light and shadow, I took a darker coloured pencil than the shadow part and traced the edge between light and shadow. Towards the shadow parts I faided out the darker colour to its original shadow tone, whereas drawing a sharp edge towards the light part.
I'm glad the girl has become sweet (I don't often draw children). It was my intention to draw a simple, cheerful and light-hearted artwork.^__^

"50 MANGA BABES to draw and paint" is an English How-to-draw book displaying fifty artworks of different women in manga style together with step-by-step illustrations, detailed descriptions and drawing tips.

I had the wonderful commission to draw fifteen of this "babes" (see the right column).
I had to comply with this criteria: drawn in manga style, female chara, view of the whole body, related to a topic/character type, no background.
